I've always had a keen interest in Art and Design from a young age and my formal introduction to design began when I studied Graphic Arts at Liverpool John Moores University. This provided me with an invaluable foundation in both design and illustration, from creative thinking, understanding underlying theory, and putting this all in context by learning about its history.

Following completion of my degree, I've gone on to work in range of design roles, both agency side and in-house. My early roles were focussed on design for print, latterly though I've become increasingly interested in design for digital platforms, leading to my desire to transition to designing digital products. The speed at which technology evolves, and the ability to back design decisions with research and data for me really makes product design an interesting challenge.

Alongside self initiate learning over recent years, to help me on my journey into Product Design, I've completed a diploma in UX, an immersive UX/UI bootcamp, and also a design systems course helping me to up-skill in the latest design tools, workflows, and best practices within the industry.

When I'm not busy designing, you'll more often than not find me enjoying a cycle ride and enjoying the outdoors to offset time spent in front of a computer screen, catching some live music or playing sometimes even playing some music myself in a local jazz trio.
